Nothing is more fun and a cozy backyard pool. Beating the heat of summer with family and friends is one of the greatest pleasures of summer. With the enormous popularity of the pools side over this important element of backyard water is not only fun, but affordable.
Getting the right group for your home and budget can be a daunting affair. So many choices and such strange terminology, hopper bottom, skimmer, return lines, creeks, etc. It is not really so difficult to cut through the noise and find the above ground pool that is right for you.
Above ground pools come in two shapes, round and oval. These forms are available in various sizes that most manufacturers sell. The most popular size is the round of 24 foot pool, but round pools are available in diameters of 12 feet to 33 feet Oval pools usually start in the 12 foot size of 20-24 feet and get as large as 21 feet x 41 feet for the pool area and budget combine to suggest the size that work best. The ideal location of the pool will get at least 6-8 hours of sun during the summer and should be as flat and smooth as possible. To contain the water, your pool needs a vinyl liner. There is a large selection of simple patterns of exotic blue tile motifs and even a coating that mimics a full tropical reef fish and corals! Sand and cartridge filters are the usual options for above ground pools. Each has advantages and disadvantages. Sand Filter is cheap, but if neglected can disable the sand filters and is an unpleasant task of cleaning and refilling. Cartridge filters require less maintenance, but the cartridges wear and can cost over $ 200.00 to replace.
The heart of any filtration system is the pool pump. A good pump, correctly the size of your pool will give you many years of reliable service. Do not buy too much power. My pool pump is making a recessed high-pitched whistle and is leaking?
The whine may well be the engine bearing especially if he has done more than start up after winter. It is sometimes down, more often do not. If noise is present after 24 hours, will not settle and it is time to consider replacing the engine. Simply replacing the bearings generally cost a bit and not really worthwhile in the long term compared with the cost of just a replacement engine. No need to buy a new pump, the engine only in this case. As for the leak. You did not mention if a leak. Is it leaks in the top, where the pipeline reaches the filter? Or is mysteriously leaking from underneath? If the former, then you have to do some simple plumbing and determine why it began to leak. Have you moved around the pump? That can cause the threads of the threaded male adapter on the top of the pump to loosen. Untie it back Teflon tape and re-install. If this adjustment is slightly deformed, then the heat of cavitation (pump running dry) is the problem. You'll have to replace male adapter. If the leak comes from the bottom of the pump or in some models, where you can see the motor shaft, it seems that trickles down from there, is a defective shaft seal. Some cost $ 16 to $ 60 service call to fix. Usually not because the pump has been run dry, burning the surface of the board.
